Job Description

The Project Director, under general direction, directs project management activities, functions, and staff. Leads interactions with stakeholders in the planning and delivery of projects. Approves project plans.


  • Directs project portfolios in line with business strategies and in accordance with project management standards. Periodically conducts meetings with stakeholders to schedule and coordinate project activities.

  • Approves project plans including budget, timelines, resources, goals, and deliverables.

  • Directs allocation of project resources.

  • Ensures project quality control and assurance.

  • Ensures current best practices are applied in vendor selection, contract negotiation, and project lifecycle.

  • Directs and supervises project team.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Seven years of related experience in project management including related supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Ability to work with internal and external executive-level clients, and effectively organize and plan on a detailed, task oriented basis.
